Where does your protein come from? Empty Where does your protein come from?

Hello ladies. This is my first post. Hope it's ok. I just want to know where does your protein source come from for your hair? I'm afraid to use a heavy protein but I know I need some. If this was answered before please let me know.

Over the summer I was drinking protein shakes so my intake was sufficient enough that I did not need to do any treatments. However, I am currently looking for something to old me over throughout the winter...

I use raw egg and 2 tablesppon of coconut oil every 3 days to keep my hair strong. I also henna once a month and do a henna gloss every 6 days. I do my henna gloss with a moisturizing condish like AOHS condish. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I use the Aphogee 2min treatment and it a light protein that works well!

Thanks ladies for responding. Helps a lot. I'll probably try the protein drinks. I get nervous about heavy protein treatments.

2 yrs ago when I did my BC, someone introduced me to deep conditioning with a mixture of eggs, mayonnaise, olive oil, coconut oil and honey. I tried it and I have not turned back. My hair lovessss the protein (from the egg). I also noticed after I started using this mixture for my monthly deep conditioning that I did not have split ends anymore. Has anyone else tried this?
