You have some really beautiful hair it looks really good on you! Keep your head up girl and treat every bad hair day like it is a good hair day... Thats the way I look at it. I love my bad hair days and good hair days.

Thanks guys! I'm just not feelin it right now. Like its all dry all of a sudden its frizzy and on top of that its short. i really just feel like blah about my hair.

I feel ya. Sometimes my hair is so odd, and since my hair is short AND im transitioning the conflicting textures get so crazy! Well i heard a saying : beauty is 20% looks and 80% confidence just work it girl!

Today is a vent day and a day of sadness. I'm going to make a long story short. My grandma has three sons and all of them are in jail. She lost one two years ago to lung cancer and another today. I was getting ready to go to the gym when I heard the news. My mom is in tears and pressured to find the money to go from here to sacramento, california to be with her mom and he brother to make the decision to take him off of life support. This is all just really horrible timing especially since me and her got into a pretty bad argument the other day and then this happens. What do you say to someone that loses their son or their brother? I cant even imagine. The only reason I am not in tears is because I never met him, never spoke with him, and never had a chance to build a relationship with him but still its sad and i wish there was something i could say or do...IDK how i am supposed to feel.

As for my hair today. nothis new. I washed and conditioned last night and put some shea and olive oil in my hair. thats about it.

I am sending a cyber hug your way! I don't think it matters that you guys had an argument, I am sure your mom just needs your love and support. Which sometimes it's simply a hug!

Sometimes just being there is support enough. That your Mom knows she can count on you to be praying for her and just say "I love you" might be enough. Life is such a precious thing so it's understandable that you are saddened by a loss, even of someone you didn't personally know. Just keep your head up my dear!!!

Sweet and Bholmes, Thanks for keeping me in your prayers guys!

Last night I went to dinner with my boyfriend his dad his wife and her two daughters. I hadn't seen his dad in a while and he has not seen my hair all natural and short. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive about what he would say and how they all would feel about my hair but I still went in anyways and had a great time. They both said they really like my hair and that I have the face for it...whatever that means? anyways I was relieved and had a great time meeting his wife and her daughters they were so welcoming and we talked about almost everything. Then today my boyfriends aunt had been saying she wants to meet me so I went over there and she really loved my hair she too said it fits my face but she added on to that and said that I have "good hair" and that I looked so pretty with my hair this way. I was very grateful for the compliments and that too made me feel better about me and my hair.....I'm just wondering why everytime I meet someone new the first thing that comes to my mind is what will they think of my hair? I like my hair but I'm starting to think is it a fake like or do I truly love it. I think I wish it was longer....IDK lol what do you all think?

Hey chicas! The weekend is over and I must say my hair and i have become friends again. She has decided to show me some progression and I could actually tell shes growing. My boyfriend even notice. I had picked my hair out to wear it in a puff and he said its filling in and looking thicker and I agree. YAY FOR HAIR GROWTH. Im in a really awkward twa stage where i want to shape it but i dont want to cut it...

Early this morning at like 1am I did some finger coils. I actually like how they came out and i was actually able to do the back since my hair has grown. Hopefully i can be patient with myself and have them last a few days.

As for my post today I am so very sad you guys. I just bought a used car last month with my hard earned money. I gave the dude 2300 dollars for it and havnt even had the car for over a month. yesterday randomly without warning the car starts to shake and broke down. I had it towed and taken to a car place and they gave me a quote of almost 700 dollars to get the repair it needs. Apparently the fuel pump burned out and was not giving fuel to the engine. I burst into tears being the sensitive person I am but i was just so angry because it is my first car that I paid for on my own and now its in a shop and I can't even afford to get it out. Im feeling like I can never get ahead and its so frustrating because i cant give it back to the guy I bought if from so Im just stuck with wasted money and no car..... im so sad that all i can say. Thanks for listening to me vent I hope everyone else is having a great day.

Aww honey....what about the Lemon law or didn't you get a warantee on it? This happened to quickly the seller has to have some responsibility.

@sweet: Well it was a private owner that i bought it from so I don't know. I wish there was something i could do I just don't know. A warrantee was never offered or made available. All i know is that this is going to kill me for the next few days. I was finally getting on my feet and then this. SMH

Missmoriah - I'm sorry to hear that. Dang, sorry the first post I read from your blog was an unfortunate one. We all have set backs and I know it sucks right now but you will bounce back.

On a hair note - is your avatar a recent picture? Did you recently BC? Looks like we have the same peeves about out hair (dry and frizzy...yuck). If you look at my blog I just did a coil out. It makes my hair look MUCH shorter than what it is BUT I don't care because I look good baby...lol. Have confidence in yourself to rock them coils girl. Your a cutie, don't let your hair run things
