I am transitioning, and have a semi-permanent color on the relaxed portion of my hair. When I was getting relaxers, I used Clairol Jazzing (in Cherry Cola) to cover/highlight my grays. Now that I'm transitioning, I'd like to try something natural (i.e. henna) to cover the gray. I don't want jet black hair, but don't want bright red hair either Smile any henna suggestions?

I just did my first henna 2 weeks ago. I am also transitioning and had semipermanent color on my ends (not sure what brand or color). I learned about a website (www.mehandi.com) that has tons of information about henna...body art quality henna vs hair quality henna, how to combine henna and other natural products like indigo to get the color you want, and much more.

I wasn't exactly sure which brand of henna to use so I called and the person I spoke to did a great job of explaining how the various henna's they sell would color my hair based on the amount of gray I have. I went with the product she suggested and am really happy with the results!

Check out the website...Good Luck!
