Roller-Set/Perm-Rod Set On 4a-4b Hair

Good afternoon ladies,

I was sitting her trying to decide what I wanted to do to my hair next since I'm due for a wash. I've been wanting to do one of these since last summer (I bought tons of packs of perm rods then for like .50 cent a pack [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ) but can never run across any A-1 products that would give me decent results (IC gel didnt work and neither did my lovely EQP mango butter). I want tight, cute curls that don't require a curling iron or me doing two-strand twists (been there, done that....I want something new lol) I'm thinking pink lotion iff the top of my head but idk. My product experience is somewhat limited at the moment

Have any of you tried to do the curly look or shall I say enhance your curls with perm rods? If so, what products worked for you?

FOTE Aloe Vera gel worked great for me.

you could also try a foam wrap. i like the one by giovanni. jane carter has one too.

If you use a wrapping lotion(foam) your curls will come out hard yet if you use a setting lotion they will have more body and a softer feel.

Thanks for that information. I was going to use my Motions foam now I will use my setting lotion..
