Newly Natural and NEED HELP! Empty Newly Natural and NEED HELP!

Post by Tasha2438 22nd January 2010, 2:39 pm

I did my BC on June 6, 2009, and I was in the dark about how to detangle well, so I would lose some hair when I detangled, so as a result of that I think my ends have been damaged. Can someone please help me as to how do I protect my ends, how do I keep them from shedding? HELP!

How do you detangle your hair (do you start from the ends and work backwards)? What kind of comb and conditioner are you using? Also, have you trimmed since your BC? Sometimes our ends will look a little funky if we don't trim every so often.

Hi LadyMika I would detangle my from the ends and work backwards but I never detangle in the shower, I always wait until after I get out, Would that be the problem because I notice a lot of people detangle with conditioner in their hair and I never do,so should I? I got a trim in December.

I would recommend that you detangle with conditioner in your hair. It makes a big difference. Do you detangle your hair in sections? If not, I would recommend that too.

I agree with Lynnie--you really should detangle with conditioner in the shower, with your hair in sections and a wide tooth comb. It might take a little longer, but it'll do your hair a lot of good.
