i was thinking of using Mega-Tek, but i heard that it produces major shedding...i don't think its you losing your hair, but the product causes so much rapid growth that your hair shedding increases as a correlation. I just didn't want to deal with the shedding, as I am having issues managing my hairs natural shedding.

Mega-Tek has worked for me, my edges were very thin and almost bald, and now my hair has grown out so much around the edges I love it! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

How about Boundless Tresses? I have issues with my edges. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I have read that this is very good as well. I am only 7 and 1/2 months into my transition and everything seems to be going well except for my edges. I only rock 2 hairstyles right now. The cornrow double strand twist outs and a loose ponytail. So help, where can I find this Boundless Tresses? Anyone know of any coupon codes?

I used MegaTek for about 9 months... This stuff is great BUT not for EVERYDAY use... I learned that early if you find a more mild condish to use in between adn dont poo with it everyday you'll be fine with minimal shedding.

It will dry you out depending on your hair type... it dryed me out at first so I started DC with Yes to Carrots.

megatek DEFINITELY helped me grow back my edges ...I didnt use it every day (usually 1-2x a week) just on the scalp after a wash and just on the edges (not the whole head...tried it once or twice but was worried about product buildup since I dont wash daily)

I still use megatek on the edges about 1x/week

I just got my mega-tek today! I immediately washed and put it on my scalp, and am experiencing a mild headache =/..I hope it's not from mega-tek.

I hope this stuff works. I plan on using it for another 6-8 months, 1-2x a week if I see results.

@ktoliver5303 how long were you using Mega Tek before you saw results. Has your bald spots completly grown in? I has just started using it and can't wait before I see results.

mega-tek... yes/no/maybe so Empty Love this stuff

Post by nwaring 27th April 2010, 12:26 am

If you guys are referring to the Mega-Tek conditioner made by Eqyss I have been using it for awhile and I love it. My hair is softer, fewer tangles and I am even noticing fewer gray hairs. My hair is shoulder length. It is also growing much faster too. I have not had the shedding problem. Actually, I was shedding alot before I started using it(to the point where I thought I was going bald) but it has decreased significantly. I also use their Priemer Botanical Shampoo. It is expensive but to me it is worth it. I wash and conditon my hair about twice a week and dab a little bit of the conditoner for leaving in every other day.
