Has anyone tried the organix coconut milk line? I am looking for a good sulfate free poo because what I am using now Dark and Lovely R&N is drying my hair out. I am also willing tohrar what others are using. My hair is screaming for moisture!!! Sad

I Vmichelle, I have been using the Organix Coconut shampoo for a little over a year now. It does ok, I only use it maybe about once per month or after Henna. Other than that, I co wash. It does ok for the most part. I ventured out and tried their Tea Tree shampoo this last time, hated it. It dried my hair out to the extreme. So if I ever get into the mood for shampooing, I make sure I use the Coconut one. I want to try the Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo next..

Thanks Veela!!! How do you like the Henna? How often do you do it and what are the outcomes?

Well, at one time when I was a natural newbie, I was doing henna every 2 -3 weeks. I haven't henna'd since around May 2009. The thing I liked the most about Henna was the color and thickening effects. It covered my gray, turned it an auburn color. I only have a probably about 5 strands total. And i think it boosted my hair growth. I want to get back into it, but I have been lazy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hey Partner *giggles*...I actually havent used the shampoo but I do have the conditioner and I love it. I intend to try the shampoo its just that I am trying to avoid purchasing and owning a million products at once. In my cabinet, I already had the organic root stimulator olive oil shampoo...which btw I love, but I plan to stop using because it has way to many ingredients..some of which I cannot even prononouce. Long story short, when I get rid of that I plan to try the organix coconut or shea butter shampoo and Traders joe shampoo.

Thanks Partner [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I think I will use the conditioner as a cowash and then use Hello Hydration as my leave in!

I haven't tried the shampoo, but the conditioner is great. If you're having problem with your shampoos being too drying you can add coconut oil, olive oil, honey, aloe vera, glycerin to make it more moisturizing. Also, try only using it on your scalp if you're not already.

Currently, I only have one shampoo and its a sulfate shampoo. However, I've fixed it by adding some of those things i listed to cancel out the sulfate. It actually a moisturizing shampoo now. I only shampoo once a month and only one time though.

I've seen Organix on sale in a few different stores. However, not today when I went shopping. Watch your sales papers...

yes, I forgot to mention that. I only use like a pea sized amount and try to only work it thru my scalp.

Good info about adding the oils to the shampoo Sis. Boyd!
