Need Help with 2 strand twists
I have noticed that as my hair gets longer it seems like my texture is changing. Like the curls are getting looser, and now my twists won't stay tight at the root. Has anyone else experienced a change in texture and how do i get the twists to stay at the roots?

You can use clips [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] to keep them twisted at the roots until they dry.

this was a concern of mine. i have seen some naturals are able to keep their roots twisted for a week or so, and some have to re-twist after a couple of days. the difference is because we all have differing textures/grades of hair that may make it easier/harder for the twists to become untwisted. i have learned that serious moisture at the roots has helped minimize the fuzzyness at the roots when my roots are untwisting.

You can try sister/rope twists. It is hard to explain how to do them. There are videos on YouTube. The twists appear more tight than regular two strand twists. I think they look really good.
You can try braiding first then doing the two strand twists. I do them typically on dry stretched hair. My twists look loose from root to tip but it doesn't affect the look, IMO.

Thanks for the ideas. I think i'm going to try all of them to see which one's the best. I'm leaning towards the sister twists i use that technique for my kinky twists and it seems to work.

Re: Need Help with 2 strand twists
I would suggest sister twists as well. I have done them on my daughter:

It sounds like you already know how to do them. But, you just twist one strand clockwise, the other counter clockwise, then start twisting them around one another. They hold much better than regular 2 strand twists. For us, anyway.
