Accountability Thread Empty Accountability Thread

Post by *CurlyNikki* 1st November 2009, 11:54 am

Yup, so I haven't touched my treadmill since I posted about it in that other thread. I have been drinking 1-3 green drinks daily, but I'm no eating as well as I should be.

I'm starting this thread so that we can pop in and share what we did for the day: the healthy things we ate, and the workouts we did despite NOT feeling like it. It will hold us accountable while inspiring others to get off the couch too!

You can check in daily, every other day, or once a week.

To healthy hearts, and fab abs Smile

I need this....I do everything the opposite of healthy. Cookies in the bed, ice cream for dinner....I'm drinking a soda now. I really need to do better.

Well, I'm trying to lose the extra weight I've gained over the year. This morning I had a bowl of special k cereal and an apple. For lunch, I ate an apple and another bowl of cereal. I was really lazy, I typically work out during lunch, but I just stayed at my desk and caught up on my CN.com reading. I will try to workout after I get off work today and before I pick up the little ones. For dinner, I'm having some broccoli and something else. I'm not sure yet....maybe some mashed potatoes. I have some beans and rice in the fridge at work, but I'm too lazy to get up and warm them up..ha. So far, I've drank about 64 oz of water, and I had a cup of coffee.

If you eat like this tell me your secret on how you maintain your weight!! Well, I'm not sure if you maintain, but you look great!

Today I did 1 hour on the stationary bike. I have been doing so bad lately! The holiday's are right around the corner and at this rate, I will not be getting in the picture with the kids when they take their holiday photos. *sigh* Maybe next year.

I hope to post every day. We will see.....

I am taking advantage of this ridiculously high metabolism. I still want to be healthy because skinny folks have just as many health issues.

I do yoplait yogurts for late night snacks, and my new fave ladies Naturally Valley Honey Oat granola bars dipped in apple sauce Smile

I have some dumbells on the side of my bed (on the floor) that remind me to pick them up and do random squats & lunges.

Today's meal plan..

Breakfast: Oatmeal, oranges, and plum/hibiscus tea (kinda weird combo, I know)

Snack: Granola Bar

Lunch (kinda late): Still deciding..

Dinner: Ground Turkey Gumbo

I'm no healthy pro or ne thing like that cuz I definitely don't go to the gym as often as I should - but I try to do better. If any of you ladies can cut down on the soda or stop altogether (I stopped in '03), you're a big step closer. Plus it's good for ur skin..sub with yummy juices and of course high quality h2o. Save that sugar for dessert Wink

On Tyra's show she had a nutritionist on there who suggested writing down everything you eat throughout the day (her slogan.."you bite it, you write it"). Seeing it on paper makes a difference. I did it for a while..and when I feel like I'm startin' to slip..I start again haha. It really makes you think.."where the heck were my veggies?"

Ok so I haven't really started a regimen yet but I have been eating healthier. I never was a big junk food fanatic (besides my cand) but most of the other things I did not eat. I've always been a big fan of veggies.
This is a weak exscuse but once I knock out my last assignments I am going to "get it in" I will begin training for the Charlotte Avon Walk for Breast Cancer soon. I will be probably start a post about volunteering and any other community service we do in and around our community....

I love that there is an accountability thread I will definitely be checking in with you ladies. Starting today, I am embarking on a 12 week fitness/food lifestyle plan. I have all the tools I just need to make it happen.
