Are there any updated coupons/codes for the Butter-n-Bars website? Can the mango butter be used in our hair along with the shea butter and coconut oil or is it too heavy?

I have used mango butter. The texture is like cold butter and takes much longer to emulsify. I plan to revisit it next week. I will post a product review here as well as in my Butters n Bars challenge thread.

I use shea butter and mango butter as sealers. I love how mango butter feels going on. I cannot tell you if it defines as well as shea butter and coconut oil. How do you use shea butter and coconut oil to define your curls. I have not had any shea butter in a long time. I need to purchase more.

I used shea butter, glycerin and aloe to define my curls recently. It worked pretty good. I was going for a really full, messy look at it was fuller, but not really messy; more neat and my curls were really tight. They were soft. I could have used less shea butter because they were a bit greasy to the touch. I was trying to make sure they would be ok going out in the cold air. But the next morning after taking off my bonnet they were extra soft Wink

I mix the Butters-n-bars shea butter and mango butter, Nutiva Organic coconut oil and a teaspoon of Nature's Blessings pomade in a container. I find when I add a little of the pomade, my hair does not smell somewhat rancid from the coconut oil. I like the "telephone cord" look 2 strand twist that "RusticBeauty" on Youtube.com achieves.
