Freestyles: Self-Imposed Challenges!

Still racking my brain about these curlformers! I don't want to get too few or too many! I'm so confused! NMoultry uses like 100 curlformers when she sets...okay, here goes nothing, LOL!

DAY#19

Good Morning Ladies!

I think I may apply some conditioner under my girl this morning...but I'm still debating on that. We shall see. Anyhow, I put BNB shea on my ends, and my moisture spritz throughout. I follow that up with MJ Baby Buttercreme lightly all over.

I'm going to South Florida tomorrow to visit my parents and I'm super excited, hopefully I'll still be able to post!

Oh, I took the plunge on the Curlformers, I ended up buying the set and some additional packages as well...even with the 20% off coupon, I still payed an arm and a leg! Here's what I ended up with (set included):

40 Long & Wide
16 Short & Wide
64 Long & Narrow
40 Short & Narrow

My logic is that I'll be able to do two different types of sets: Skinny curls and fat curls (and I guess combination curls too, lol). I based my purchase on the fact that NMoultry uses about 100 curlformers to complete her curl set. I'll let you know how they work out when I receive them!

I really need to work on my car pics! Maybe its the car and not me! LOL! Are you gonna wear your hair out while visiting your fam?

Well...I'm thinking that I'll try the curlformers out the second weekend in January (8th-10th) since that's my monthly "wear my hair" weekend. Let's pray they ship them in time! I think I'll deep condition when I'm home, but will be way too busy to play with my hair!

My plans for next week are as follows:
Wednesday: Henna under girl while at work, Indigo at home after work
Thursday: Deep Condition Under Girl at work for Moisture, Flat Twist to Dry & Stretch
Friday: Set on Curlformers or Rods, Style

Okay so I've revamped my hair plans for next week...
My plans for next week are as follows:

Tuesday:
-Henna under "girl" while at work & hope the smell isn't obvious to those around me! (10 hours)
-Indigo at home after work (4 hours)
-Rinse, Shampoo, Light Conditioner
-Oil Pre-Poo Overnight (6 hours)

Wednesday:
-Deep Condition Under "Girl" while at work for Moisture (10 hours)
-Rinse, Flat Twist to Dry & Stretch Overnight

Thursday: pm
-Set on Curlformers or Rods (Hopefully my curlformers come in the mail on time!)

Friday: am
-Remove Curlformers or Rods
-Fluff and Style
-Enjoy my "hair out weekend!"


Sunday: pm
-Co-Wash, Cornrow for girls

Now, we'll see how it works out!

DAY#20

So, I was supposed to be in South Florida by now!
I prefer night driving but I was just too tired after work to hit the road. Let's just say I downed four Red Bulls for the drive and went straight to sleep instead! Super tired. So I'll tackle that 7 hour drive within the next hour or two...

I'm gonna take a few of my "girls" to get me through the Holiday Weekend. I'm not sure how posting will go...you may not hear from me for the next few days, but then again... maybe you will!

While I'm away I plan to oil pre-poo, co-wash and spend quality time with my parents! I'm going to take plenty of BNB Shea (for my hair and skin), my biotin and MSM, HH Conditioner, MJ BB and Giovanni Leave-In.

Happy New Year to All!

Its been exactly 3 weeks since I entered the challenge!

I made it to South Florida safely! Last night I went to a New Years Party with my Daddy. I wore Renee'. (You've already seen her, but I'll post pics when I get a chance because I'm posting from my blackberry currently).

When I came home from the New Years party I applied HH Hello Hydration, Coconut oil, put on plastic cap, then a wig liner to capture any runaway drippies...and off to bed I went!

It was my first time using HH so I'll let you know what I think once it dries.
Also, I spread a bit of Giovanni Leave-In on my cornrows so I don't know if that will effect my thoughts of the HH.

I'm going to work on my 2010 Hair Goals and post soon.

DAY #22

So, posting from this blackberry is getting OLD...FAST! Can't seem to find enough time to upload photos while visiting my parents and I haven't figured out how to do it from my blackberry (if that's even possible).

As for my hair...it's SUPER DRY! I'm not sure if it's the climate change or if my hair is not liking the HH Hello Hydrations or maybe even the Giovanni Leave-In. But what I DO know is that my hair feels horrible! I'm going to put some MJ Babybutter Creme and run for my BNB shea butter! I can't take this! Any suggestions?

I've used the MJBB a couple times a week for the past 3 weeks, ir has never been a problem. Most recently. I co-washed with HH Hello Hydrations mixed with Coconut Oil. I used HHHH shampoo to wash the front section bc of build up from gel. Maybe my hair doesn't like the Giovanni Leave In? Whatever the issue I plan to get to the bottom of this! Thanks for your suggestions ChrsLvsBlk!
