RE: NYC Meetup yesterday (26-03-11)

Hi guys.

I went to the NYC meetup yesterday at Dallas bbq in NYC, ( I had a fabulous time!). We swapped a few products and I ended up taking home the SoftSheen Carson Care Free Curl curl activator. I was curious to try it because it's a new rave on a few boards, and I know a couple of you ladies were curious as to the results so here they are!

I only did a small section at the back of my head, cause I have a swim workout tomorrow, so it didn't make sense to do the whole head. It dried pretty quick, left my hair super soft, and without frizz. It also gave me major shrinkage, which isn't suprising considering I wet my hair with a spray bottle before trying it. The ingredients however are questionable, I maybe/probably will not ever buy this myself since it has mineral oil (depends) . This is just a preview of the results, on Wednesday or so I'll probably try a full wash and go, then post pics in this thread.

I think your hair looks beautiful and moisturized . If you like the CFC activator--then keep it! I use it in my daughter's hair and I use Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 in my hair. I'm not giving them up because they get the job done. Heck I even use a sulfate shampoo occasionally. It's really your personal preference. I can't wait to see the finished results.

howd you find out about the nyc meetup A-Felice? If I had known, I would've went.

I actually found out about the event on meetup.com cause I wasn't active on this forum that much, so there is also a meetupgroup called DarkerThanBrown that you can check out (strictly for NYC)

Man I should have grab that bottole from you A-Felice. Your curls look really defined with it. The only negative is the shrinkage. I don't use gel, so I have tons of frizz. I need this in my life just to control frizz.

Ladies I'm soo sory I missed this meet up but I got sick again evey since I BC'd I get frequent colds bcuz I constantly do wash n go's.....Anywho plz let me know when the next one will be plzz honestly I'm not a flake
