BIG CHOP TODAY

Im going to the barbershop today and I was wondering if I need to wash my hair before going or should my hair be wet, dry blown out or what??

Congrats on the decision. I did my chop last Friday. I did the initial cut wet so I would know where to stop that I went in after it air dried to let the barber trim and shape it... Good luck!!!

Thanks Jazzy, I only transitioned for two months. Im not even sure that is long enough I think I may have a little new growth to whwere I can get away with cutting the relaxer out!! My Avatar pic is up to date! Gosh Im scared. Ok so Im thinking i should go into the barbershop dry and not wet. I cant cut my own hair. I'll just yell dont cut the WAVES!!

i did both my BC & trim @ home when wet. I had a longer transition though, so it was easier for me to see. when you go to the barber, make sure you show him & point out the difference. no matter how obvious you think it looks, you never know & in the end you will be happy to know that you & the barber are on the same page

Congrats ShyCurl on your cut. I'm in Oak Park so it's good to see sisters from Michigan providing support. I'm new to the forum and new to transitioning (I last relaxed my hair on November 4, 2009) and hope to BC in June (if I am patient enough). I will post a picture of myself soon also. You have such a beautiful face (so many of the natural sisters do) so your hair at any length won't take that away. Be blessed!

Hey thanks, I actually did a many chop, my father was with me and he just couldnt handle me choping it all off nor could the barber, so i'll go back in a couple weeks!!
