So tell us about it. How was the experience? Who, what, where . . . ?

Re: Big Chop Today!
Thanks Ladies! I appreciate the kind words...I am loving it!
natchral, the experience was great. I went to my normal stylist (didn't feel comfortable doing it on my own). My transition was fairly easy. I decided from beginning that 3 months was going to be it. I was fine with a super short TWA...just wanted to transition long enough so there wouldn't be skin showing. LOL
My stylist cheered me the entire way...she's transitioning herself, so I had a lot of support from the beginning. I feel so liberated. I got my first relaxer at age 10 and it took me 22 years to step away from the chemicals. As cheesy as it sounds, I feel like anything is possible now.

We have some things in common: I got my 1st perm at age 10; I plan to BC at the 3-month mark (which would've been my 2nd relaxer appt since I made the decision to go natural); and I'm going to let my regular hair stylist do it, too. It encourages me that you look so good!
Enjoy all the compliments I know you're getting!

That's great...I think being comfortable is a very important part of the process. Whether it be your trusted stylist or the comfort of your own bathroom. It seems that the majority of people love the new 'do. I've gotten a couple of , but I expected it. LOL It's not for everyone...

LOL Thank you...I've been dealing with the "why didn't I do this sooner?!?" thoughts...but the important thing is that I crossed over, right? I am looooving it. I know the true adventure begins once it starts growing out, but I plan to enjoy this stage as long as I can. FYI, I'm a major fan of Sasha.
