I know we must stay away from the heat. We just have to embrace it.

I have been doing protective styles throughout the winter with images in my head of the beautiful W&G that I would attempt when it gets warmer, where my hair is full and hanging to show my length and soft and beautiful and...............

Yeah....um...it's a no go. I did a W&G last week just to see what shape it would take. It shrunk up so much that it looked like I had a tapered cut....I was so annoyed that I just pulled it back into a puff!!!!! LOL

For those of you that do stretched styles, how do you avoid excessive manipulation? It seemed like I had to style it too often. Any suggestions?

@ Sis Mel. for my stretched styles I braid if wet or just dry twist out. If I braid it I would just do it every other night. I know some people braid onces and put in little pineapples and it last for 2 to 3 days.

This is all I've been TRYING to do as well. I get so excited bc I know my hair has grown a lot, but the shrinkage can kill your spirit! LOL! But it comes with the curls! (:
