PLEASE HELP!!! Just BCed!!!

Ok ladies, so I Big Chopped January 10, 2010. When I say I Big Chopped, I did it all the way. I skinned my head almost. Well it's growing nicely. A little longer than a brush cut now. One big problem: It has no texture whatsoever!!! The whole reason why I skinned it was because I couldn't tell where the relaxer ended and my natural hair began. IDK whats wrong with my head. Let me give you my hair history. The back of my head has always been the silkiest and straightest so I never really relaxed that part. It had a loose wave. But the front was like a 3c. Well, I had m last relaxer July 2010, but my hair was still bone straight after that up until I BCed. I thought it had heat damage. I don't know what to do. Please help. Has anyone else had any experience with this? I have this stupid straight hair just sticking up. I want CURLS!

I just think you should give it some time. Just take care of it. Something may pop up, but if it doesnt, its fine. Not everyone has a curl pattern. I'm sorry, and I hope you pop curls. If your hair is not protein sensitive, try protein treatment and Deep condition it alot.

Wow, this sounds like my hair when I first BCed... no texture, just dry hair sticking up. Like meepmeep said, not everyone has a curl pattern. Mine eventually began to coil, but not necessarily curl. Maybe yours will. Give it time. Sometimes hair is rough and dry when you first cut the relaxer. Be patient and give it love; I think you'll learn to be happy with whatever it does!

be patient Jazzygurll...the curls are coming...just keep her very moisturized...IMO it takes a couple of inches b4 you're able to see your true texture...when i 1st BC'd, i had straight hair in the back but that same section is now the curliest...i jokingly call it my "good hair"...

Don't fret as everyone else said, it takes a while to see your true texture. I'm almost 1 yr post BC & my hair is completely different from when I first chopped. Patience is key!

A coil to me is when the hair curls onto itself until it looks like a tube (or like a pen spring), not like a curl that is more "S" shaped. Here's a link to pictures of my hair in a wash-n-go: Sept Hair Update. Notice how sections of my hair is clumped together (I hope the pictures are clear enough). I consider those coils, not really curls.
