Temptation...I BCed 6/27/10

I waited and I am still waiting. I have been transitioning since 9/09. I cut the relaxed ends off of a small section in the front, to see what it would look like. I love it. I test products and styles on that section. BUT it is not long enough. As I watch it grow, it give me the strength to keep waiting, because I am not a twa woman.

if you're half ready and half not, don't do it yet. i say, wait and wait until you are fully frustrated with the relaxed ends ... then you won't miss them.

I did a big mini chop today. If I could cut my own hair I would probably have big chopped today. I'm sick of the permed ends and I know it'll grow once it's cut. I may chop this coming weekend when I can get my girlfriend or sister to cut off the ends.

As for you, wait until your ready. It's such a personal decision.

congrats renny!!! i bet it is so gorgeous. the nice thing about not going to a stylist is yuo can go at your own rate. i'm trying to decide if i cut the rest of the relaxed ends off today or not. i have a u shaped amount in the back that is five inches, an inch of relaxed hair left. i need to cut it eventually . the front is all natural

So, this morning I went to my stylist and did my big chop! I was nervous, but now I'm in love with my curls! My pictures are coming soon!

Soo cute!~ Thanks for sharing. I am @ 6 months post now. I don't think I'll be waiting much longer. One quick question though, is your hair long enough to twist/braid?

Thanks! The center of my head grows like weeds so I can twist that, but the sides are still a bit shorter. Now, if I blow dried it I probably could but I am trying to follow the CG method.

That's good to know. I've heard that it takes a while for your curl pattern to "show" so I just wanted to make sure I had enough hair to twist b/c I am so not a 'fro' kinda gal. Good luck on your journey and thanks for the reply!
