To the ladies who dont have protein sensitive hair, any PROTEIN TREATMENT suggestions?
I'm asking because I just trimmed my ends last month and I am already starting to see strands starting to split, so I think my hair may be crying out for more protein. I do deep treatments once a week, but no protein. Any suggestions?

I am not protein sensitive, and every 2 weeks i do a protein treatmet with an egg + little oil. let it sit for 30 minutes, and wash out carefully. But my co-wash conditioner is also a keratin conditioner (i use that 3 times a week). My hair eats up protein, and its super soft.

I've used the Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment twice without incident. Its strong so you gotta make sure you follow the directions to the letter then DC and moisturize like there's no tomorrow.

If the 2 step Aphogee treatment is too harsh, they also make a 2 minute reconstructor that worked lovely on my relaxed hair, I haven't tried it as a natural yet. Aubrey Organic also makes a GPB conditioner that can be used for a light protein or a Blue Green Algae treatment for a heavier protein.

If you make purchases online, Hairveda has a 2 step protein treatment. I like it alot!! It makes my hair strong but still soft if that makes sense.

I'm protein sensitive and I NEVER do protein treatments. The closest I'll get to protein are the small amounts in my Giovanni Direct Leave-In.

Saturday I used the Aphogee 2 step treatment for the first time. So far I have no complaints. I pray it stays this way!! Before Aphogee I use egg & mayo as my protein treatment.
I have heard some good things about Hairveda!

I use Salerm Cosmetics : Salerm 21, on the front it says leave -in -conditioner, Silk Protein. You can either leave it in or rinse it out. I leave it in for about 10 minutes then rinse it out and do a DC after. I am transitioning and in the begin my hair was just coming out in my hand when i run my fingers through it but after i use this every other week my hair stop that completely and now i just get the "normal" amount of shedding. I like this protein treatment plus i smells really good.

@ jadore sorry about the late response. I pretty much eyeball my mix but here's a round about measurement (my hair is a lil below CBL stretched at it's longest points so adjust accordingly for your length):
1 cup mayo
2 eggs
1.5 tbs EVOO
1.5 tbs EVCO
1/2 cup warmed coconut milk
And just do a healthy squirt of a medium to heavy condish. until you get the consistency you want. It should be thinner than a DC though so that the condish. does not overpower everything else.
Put it on your hair and cover with a plastic cap and leave on for an hr. Then shampoo it all out with COOL water (don't want scrambled egg in your hair). Then follow up with your DC.
