Re: Steamers, dryers?
I have the Heutiful Steamer and facial attachment and I LOVE them both. Sunday's are my at-home spa days. I steam my hair for 40 minutes, then use the facial attachment with my face masks for 20 minutes. I see a GREAT improvement in my hair and face in just a few weeks.
I still have my hooded dryer that I'll probably pull out to dry my hair the temps dip here in the midwest.
@ Krissy, I would suggest the dryer only because it's more versatile than a steamer. I remember those days as a college student with a limited budget and my hooded dryer was awesome! In fact, I was the only person in my dorm with a hooded dryer, so I made some extra cash by letting people come to my room to use

I think its up to you. I just got mine too from them . I did my first steaming with dc mix without a plastic cap. It came out just fine. Getting ready to go under the steamer with oils now with a cap.

Re: Steamers, dryers?
PLEASE be careful tiashaunteé,
I tried using my $9 garment steamer and burned my fool head! I made the mistake of sitting it on the counter and moved my hair too close to the steam burst. LOL!

I have a steamer for clothes and a broken bonnet dryer. The hose from the steamer can attach to the hose on the bonnet......homemade steamer. The bonnet has two layers and tiny holes so its should allow too much steam through at once.
I'll follow up once I give it a shot.....my hubby is going to laugh hard at me.

Oh, I am jealous Tia.
Hubby got me a I-pad instead. I guess I need that more for all I am doing now............ .
But I will get my hands on that steamer before winter is out for sure.....

My hubby was gonna get me an I-Pad too, but I told him to wait for the 2nd Gen. to come out.
The steamer is on my list as well.

This one lady on U-tube used a facial steamer that has the hose to it and did something similar to what you are planning to do and that thing put out a lot of steam
For those who still plan to get a steamer Salons R US I think are still using this code exoticmommies where you get $10 off.. This code has been working for them since I got mine last year and it was still working about 2-3 months ago.

Re: Steamers, dryers?
I got a steamer during the summer, the one i got is called the Huetiful Hair steamer. For me it really helped during the summer with my deep condish, I noticed my hair didn't frizz up as much on the days after I used it. I got mines after seeing allot of reviews on this brand. below is the f.b page ....... b4 i purchased mines I took a look here it was helpful since it shows what it looks like/ reviews/ price info.
