No more Wet HAIR! Get a Diffuser!!
Hello Everyone! Just want to give you all a tip on the DIFFUSER! For those that do not know, a diffuser is an attachment that is placed on a blow dryer. It is used to dry your curls without disturbing them. I use it a lot with my wash and go. It prevents having to go out in the cold air with wet hair. I use the Conair ION blow dryer ($19.99 at Walmart) because I can set it on COLD or WARM and have it blow on High. I do not use the HOT setting to prevent any heat damage. I hope this helps someone or if there is anyone else using the diffuser join in and let us know why you do or do not DIFFUSE!!

My first try was at night before i went to bed, just in case it was a disaster i wouldn't have to let the world see... lol. But now I use it for about 5 min before walking out the door. Its also good for styles such as finger coils and twist! Thanks for replying!!

Hey Ms. Prisz,
I don't have anything to say about the diffuser but I just wanted you to know that I think your specs are super cute!

MsPrisz, I will look for the dryer @ Walmart; I find that I need to use a diffuser. I watched a few YT vids on how to use... I will definitely go to Walmart this week. $19.95 isn't a bad price for all the attachments AND the dryer. Thanks for sharing!

Funny, when my hair was straight...I always threw that attachment away! What did I need it for? LOL
Hmmm! As I'm learning more about my hair, I'm thinking this may be a good thing.
THANKS FOR THE SCOOP!

Re: No more Wet HAIR! Get a Diffuser!!
I purchased my first hair dyer as a natural over the summer and I wonder what took me so long! The diffuser attachment is a god sent. When I wear WnG, my hair takes all day and night to dry. Now I can dry the roots a little so I'm not walking around with soggy hair all day. It also helps keeps the frizz down.
I don't use a heat protectant because they mostly contain silicons. I just use my normal leave-ins. I don't set my dryer on HOT so that's also a factor.
I got mine at Ross (regular price for mine was $75) for $20. Thankfully almost all hair dryers comes with that attachment these days.

the best advice i can give you on diffusers.. is o go on yt they have some really good videos.. check out Taren916.. its really just tilting your head in all directions and placing the diffuser cup on yur curls.. its gives added volume and dry the hair while keeping the definition

My blow dryer didn't come with a diffuser...Ulta has universal diffuser attachments for $10, so I'm going to try that. Hope it works!

Re: No more Wet HAIR! Get a Diffuser!!
as far as i'm concerned the diffuser has been a lifesaver!!! i hated wet hair when i would do wash n gos and plopping over and over to stop drippies. but with a diffuser i can dry my hair quickly and safely stretch my hair to cut down on skrinkage. i always diffuse on a low setting but high power. there is an excellent youtube tutorial by taren916 about diffusing that helped me immensely https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klU9RV4gkt0
