Beauty Within Hair Salon

Hi Ladies.

I have not been to this salon (yet) but wanted to know if any of you have, and if so... what was your experience? How did you feel about the stylist, pricing, environment...?

My boss actually recently BC'd over the weekend and she has coils in her hair, which she had done at the salon listed below. They look GORGEOUS! I just was curious as to whether anyone else went. Please let me know.

I met Andrea when she was at Essentials in Laurel on Main Street. I had a consultation with her prior to my appointment. While I was not displeased, I decided to not have her trim/cut my hair. I did not feel a rapport with her. Rapport, IMO, is very important when having someone care for your hair. We discussed natural hair, and many of the things I discussed with her that I had learned through research she dismissed with no substantial reason why. I do remember discussing silicone and porosity, and she disagreed with both my assessments.

She did a WnG with KCCC. I was pleased with my hair after a couple of days. This was my first and only time having KCCC in my hair. It took a couple of days to soften up. .

Oh okay. I am familiar with Essentials in Laurel b/c I purchase my products there sometimes. Never had my hair done there before but a friend did and she had mixed emotions. I'll have to ask who did hers...

I agree with you, rapport is VERY important and that is the main reason I haven't been to a salon yet. I feel that not many stylists have that needed rapport with their clients. My sister does hair but lives in Philly so when I am home I go to her, but wanted to try something more convenient.
