My Hair Type Empty My Hair Type

Post by Jazzmatazz 24th December 2010, 5:35 pm

Hi all, I'm newly natural (6 days to be exact) with the curly hair I've always wanted...I think! 'Twas the night before Christmas and I find myself at a loss with what to use to achieve defined curls/coils. I've attached a pic and appreciate all suggestions. Thanks to Curly Nikki, I've tried several products!!! Brief background, I transitioned for 9 months and am a self professed PJ Embarassed

Currently I'm using Elucence, YTC, Jessicurl Weekly DC and alow vera gel. I tried Curls Souffle' for a wash n go but it didn"t go over so well...looked like a JherriCurl (tragic!!! Sad ) I've also tried the Design Essentials line (prior to seeing the review on CN) and my hair hated the entire situation.

Thanks Ladies and I look forward to reading your comments! [img][/img]

Thanks, I've not tried ecostyler but I do have some KCCC. I tried it while transisitoning and didn't care for it but I'll try it today and see how it works. The attached pic above is product free hair. I think I'm a 3c/4a but I'm really not sure.

I think you're right you look like a 3C/4A hair type, your hair looks similar to mine. My pic is from using the denman so the pattern looks a little different. I'd recommend something creamy with a semi-thick consistency to it, like Bee Mine's moisturizer. I've heard good things about that, you could also try Qhemet's people rave about that being very moisturizing. The Amla and Olive is for thicker hair types but if you want something a little lighter the Burdock Root is probably a better choice. Hope this helps Smile

You could also apply a gel on top for a little hold like the ecostyler rayray19 mentioned.

Ecostyler sucked for me when I was transitioning, but works wonderfully now that I'm 100% natural.
