Hairstyles for mature women
My hair is now about 6 inches long. I work in a professional environment so the free flowing, big afros do not work during the work week. I'm looking for hairstyles that look professional, but are in line with my age. Some of the many lovely hairstyles appear much to young for me. I also run into the problem that I never was able to do my hair with chemicals, so I'm much worse with my natural hair. Cornrows or flat twists, etc. aren't easy for me to do., Also, the longer my hair gets, the harder it is to handle and I do want it to grow as long as it can. I have fine, dense hair (I know, right?). The front and middle are more 3a while the back is more 4ab. I'm currently using shea moisture products, organic twist and loc gel, and Jane Carter nourish and shine. I also use raw shea butter for moisture retention. I've been doing two strand twists but am getting bored with this style. I've tried a few updos but can't seem to get them to look cute. They usually look grandmama to me. I've untwisted the two stands, but then my hair is big and unprofessional for work. HELP!!!

I am at about the same length. Mostly - I wear twist and wear a twist out. I like alot of the pin-up styles. You can do the mini twist and wear them in a variety of styles.
Chrslvsbks- BlondeByDesire and SweetDrk1- have excellent curl journals- take a peek and then rock what you like!

Hi NylaCoils,
How can I access the curl journals? I am in the same boat - at 49 I don't feel comfortable going to school and work with little plaits in my hair!
Thank you.

Hair style is most important for person life. There are many hair style and all hair style suits different people. Like children suits baby cut, young suits curly, strait, layers and so on. Mature suits simple hairstyle. Also its depends on person face.
