Scab Hair?????? Empty Scab Hair??????

Post by FABulosity22 4th December 2010, 9:43 pm

Hey everyone!
I just BC'd two days ago. Right after, I noticed my hair was completely dry after deep conditioning, co washing, using my oil and shea butter mixture, Cantu leave in conditioner and eco styler. Basically I tried EVERYTHING that I used during my transitioned and my hair feels like wool. Sad

I began two strand twisting my hair and noticed that my ends were completely dry, brittle BUT didn't see relaxed or curly. So I began cutting that part off. After talking to one of my sorority sisters, she told me that this part of the hair that I'm referring to is called scab hair. I watched a YT vid on scab hair and I was instantly enlightened. Very Happy

Has anyone else experienced this? And what were the results after cutting the scab hair off?

Here's links to a video and forum posts. Def convinced that this is whats going on with my hair. I have a curly pattern in the back of my head but at the top and on the sides.......nothing.
