As loyal as I am to my twists, I'm having a brief fling with this braidout! kinda feelin myself, lol! I want to be able to rock this for one more day..?? I guess I just want someone to tell me to, "slap a bonnet on it, and fahget about it!" Or do I have to re-braid??

Just do a few. I'll usually preserve mine by putting it in three or four big braids. Sometimes, I will just throw my bonnet on and call it a night, but the chance of getting second day hair is always a crapshoot for me.... so I don't risk it anymore... lol

I don't re-braid. I'll put my hair up into two high, loose ponytails, put a bonnet over it and a scarf around the edges and call it a night. I also add a mixture of shea butter/coconut oil/olive oil for moisture and shine.

Since my hair is not long enough to pinapple, I do a few mini pinapples in the back and on the sides and fluff in the a.m.

I re-braid each night, but less braids than the original set. I only remoisturize the ends which I also twist.

Thanks so much for the advice ladies. I DID end up rebraiding. 4 jumbo ones to be exact, put a little Shea Moisture curl and style milk on the ends..then unravelled and fluffed in the morning. came out very nicely Smile

I rebraid at night 4-5 braids and seal the ends with oil/butter. I tried the pineapple thing and it was a disaster in the morning.
