Twist questions
I have 2 questions about wearing twist:
1. When you pin up the twists, is it okay to sleep in the bobby pins or to you re-pin everyday?
2. When I take down my pinned up twist, how can I refresh them since some have flattened out during sleep?

Re: Twist questions
When I wear a pin up style, I dont take it down until I'm ready to wear a twist out.

Re: Twist questions
The only way I have found that I can freshen up my flattened twists is to re-wet them. I will usually wear them in a pinned up style for a while but when I want to wear them down again, I pass them under the water in the shower then dry them with a t-shirt or microfiber towel.

Re: Twist questions
Thank you Lynnie and MzBush. I was thinking that I should rewet them, but I didn't want to mess things up.

Re: Twist questions
If you twist them nice and tight, you should be good to go. Also, don't get them sopping wet....just a quick rinse. I do 3-strand twists. They seem to stay a little better for me.

Re: Twist questions
If uncomfortable or desire a different style, I will take the pins out. To refresh, I spritz with tea or water then apply water- or aloe based moisturizer and seal with oil and/or butter. This helps plump them up. If you hair is a looser texture, you don't want to spray with too much water/tea or moisturizer.
Re: Twist questions
I like to wet my hands and then touch my hair, or use a spritz bottle and spray lightly. That way you control how wet your hair gets, it dries quickly, and you don't risk a lot of frizz using a towel/t-shirt to dry your twists (especially if you're frizz prone like me).
