Houston ... we have lift off
I did my first full henna treatment last night ...
well, it was full on after I slapped 2 cups of dulhan henna batter on my head (bare hands) and started to clean up and realized that my palms and nails were ORANGE.
I thought that henna had to sit for 12+ hours before dye release. I have been doing henna gloss, cassia and amla packs for several weeks. I didn't expect the dye to release in an air conditioned room. I was tired, it was late, so I went to bed with dulhan henna in my hair. I rinsed with water this morning and followed with an oil rinse, hibiscus fenugreek tea rinse and a final rinse of heavily diluted acv. I applied some rose water and a leave-in conditioner to moisturize, made some celie braids and went to an appointment. I was playing with my braids while I drove and they were moist, soft, strong. I checked the color after I returned and the grey hairs are now the color of a new penny. kewl
