Found Cheap quality henna in NYC
I used to work in BK and downtown bk has tons of Indian grocers... I'm not sure they're Indian but the store I got my first henna from is monitar attar an Islamic store. And since I'm no longer in bk I found a place right by the six train on 28th street called little India store. I paid 1.99 for my Jamila henna 100g box and the color was great. Didn't have a date stamp or foil package but it was well worth it so I purchased 4 boxes, amla for 2.49 and shikakai for 2.49( wasn't crazy about this stuff it was gritty and hard to wash out) ... Hope this helps all the local naturals. Ps please don't buy up all the henna

Are you talking about Downtown Brooklyn by Atlantic Ave? Did they have any amla powder?
And what exactly is the address for the Indian store on 28th Street?

Little India store
128 East 28th Street
(Between Park Ave and Lexington Ave)
Phone: 212.683.1691
and yes the place in Brooklyn is by Atlantic , right across from the PC richards and up and down what I guess is Atlantic are natural beauty places ( oils, butters, etc and Karens body beautiful is on myrtel ave. And that's a really nice store. Driving it's like 5 minutes off of Atlantic not sure about walking...oh the place where I got henna in bk isn't a brand name just a clear bag. That stuff was gritty but had an intense dye release
