Bloody Edges!
Ok so I dont know how this happened. I'm the nicest person I know when it comes to edges! I dont brush them! I dont do tiny twist on them to pull them! I dont even wear headbands! Yet when put on the conditioning cap today I saw a pink spot on my scalp. I leaned in closer to the mirror and I see some thin flakes of dandruff but mostly pink flesh! And I'm thinking....am I bleeding?! Has this happened to any of you?! I'm kinda horrified

Re: Bloody Edges!
That has not happened to me but I used to have dandruff and when I would scratch my scalp too much i would bleed a little...
Since I've been natural, it's been under control.
I don't think you should panic... Maybe you scratch your edges or something...
Just keep a close eye on the "situation" and go see a dermatologist if it doesn't get better...

I'm not sure what that could be. Has not happened to me. Maybe it's a reaction to a new product? I would go see a dermatologist if it continues.

Re: Bloody Edges!
This has happened to me in the past when I scratched a certain area of my scalp too much. If you have dandruff and you've been scratching your scalp the area could be irritated.
Re: Bloody Edges!
It happens. Probably eczema on the scalp. See a dermatologist. You probably was scratching the scalp due to dryness or irritation from a product u was using.

Ughh I think I'm going to stop using this protein spray on my scalp. I thought it would get rid of the dandruff but it does burn and now I guess it's because its on open wounds

I get that and I think it's eczema, although I've never been diagnosed by a dermatologist. If you're able to get to a doctor, do, just so you know what it is.

Also I have been using hydratherma naturals follicle invigoator and been sparying it directly onto my scalp (which gets hot and burns if you have open wounds), but it is suppose to give your scalp protein with amino acids in it I believe.

Re: Bloody Edges!
honestly- I'd stop using all that stuff....if it burns, stop using it. As free2be mentioned, if you can go see a doctor....do that.
When i went natural, washing my hair once a week WITH shampoo (sulfate free, of course) solved my dandruff problems. but it seems like it might be a lil bit more serious than dandruff for you....
Let us know how it goes!
Good luck...
