bald edges vs thin edges
Does anyone on here have bald sides like myself. At least the women out there with the thin edges have something to cover their side with. What can I do with bald sides and a bald window peak. I look horrible. Too embarassed to post pic at this time. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Lol don't be embarassed, nobody judges on here. But try massaging your scalp daily or whenever you can to increase the blood flow and help growth. But for now try headbands or do a protective styling.

Try to massage your scalp with Jamaican Black Castor oil, it helped me tremendously!
Re: Bald vs. Thin Edges
Awwh, don't be embarrassed! I have very thin edges and i'm currently using Jamaican Black Castor Oil every night on my edges plus a combination of Megatek, Coconut Oil, & EVOO on my scalp. I'm one month in today and seeing some progress.. Now if I can just stop myself from obsessively looking every morning!!!!(lol) Try the Castor oil and see how it works.. I'll keep you updated on my progress as well.

Re: bald edges vs thin edges
Massaging the area will do you well. Wash your hair about once a week with a good moisturizing shampoo and a conditioner for dry damaged hair. Make sure that you use a great leave in conditioner/ hair cream regularly. Get a satin pillow case or a silk pillow case to sleep on because conventional cotton pillow cases can rip out the edges of your hair if your satin or silk night cap falls off at night! Remember to stay positive . Do not roughly brush or comb the affected area either, only gently massage it. And like naturalhigh! said, use the castor oil

Re: bald edges vs thin edges
My edges went sparse after breast feeding and tons of hair buns. I used to tie my hair up in a doo rag every night and that put stress on my edges. When I went to a hair sack, my edges were not being suffocated by the doo rag and I think that is what helped mine to grow back in.
Re: bald edges vs thin edges
@erra_nicole, what did you do to grow your edges? And how long was the period between the before pic and the after pic? Thanks!
@chopchop, listen to everyone and buy the Jamaican Black Castor Oil. It takes time but it really works. Also, try the Wild Growth Hair Oil. I just started using this but it seems to be working a little faster than the JBCO.
I am currently using JBCO and WGHO to grow my edges back. I just started so there is not a lot of growth but you can see my pics here:

@curllover and @every1else <-lol the dates r actually on the picture (my phone is weird an makes the print to small 4 me 2 jus leave the periods n between) but if i remember it was from 03/10-06/10..and honestly if I cud give any advice it wud b LEAVE YOUR EDGES ALONE!!! My edges have ben bald/thin most my life and this is the most progress I have seen! Transitioning has helpd n a major way! (I have recently messed up the progress becuz I braided it up) but jus leave them alone! If your anything like me jus leave them alone! Becuz I have tried creams, syrums, pills, grease and so much more but..jus like protective hair styles and u have very little minipulation <-spell check lol ur edges need the same ...so let me keep this short (after a long story)<-lol (y'all kno I'm alil crazy) newho nemore ?ions lemme kno!

Re: bald edges vs thin edges
I'm using just regular castor oil (from Rite Aid) and I'm seeing results... I'm also using the 'aloe grow' mix on my scalp.

Re: bald edges vs thin edges
Totally agree with erranicole, with leave your edges alone. I also had or still have damage edges from doing crap with my hair and my edges paid the price. But after taking care of it i can now rock a puff and not feel self-conscious.
When i decided to not let anyone put their hands in my hair anymore and take charge, my edges got better...SLOWLY. Keep in mind that it takes a while to see results but with the right stuff it will get better
I used a mixture of Castor Oil & Peppermint Oil and message into my edges every other night. What i have learn't is to message my oils , keep stress off and leave my edges alone.
Do not be embarrassed, we are all in this together.
Good luck
