Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle conditioner. This has been the ONE constant product that I've been using since I went natural. If they changed the formula and it didn't work for me anymore, that would be my only reason for leaving. Otherwise, this has been my staple leave-in, co-wash for over a year now.

Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner

I went to Jamaica a few weeks ago and packing lightly was hard. The conditioner was the ONLY hair product I took with me. I used it to cowash and if my hair feels a little dry I just leave some in..I love that stuff.

I can't go without my henna, and other Auyveda powders. I MUST have Giovanni Direct leave-in and coconut oil (the two are the bomb together). But the cherry on top is when I mix Giovanni with a little vegetable glycerine in the summer and my hair soaks up the moisture like crazy. Just a tiny bit of glycerine will help.

This is a tough one...but if i were forced to pick only 3, I cant live without my:
1. Aubrey organics White Camellia Ultra smoothing conditioner- full of slip. Its the only one that makes detangling so much easier and faster without loosing lots of hair!!
2. shea butter- This really moisturizes and protects your hair from dryness/brittleness and breakage. Also makes it soft.
3. coconut oil or olive oil- Makes my hair smooth, shiny and soft.

my top 4 would be herbal essences totally twisted conditioner, mixed chicks leave in conditioner, Beyond the zone noodle head curling creme, and suave humectant conditioner. Mixed chicks somewhat "holds" my styles I especially love it when I do a bantu knot out or when I do my wanna be coils. Totally twisted & suave are both amazing as soon as I put them in my hair its soo easy to detangle...easier than when I had a relaxer even. The curling creme I like to use when I do a wash and go because it really defines my curls but doesnt make them stiff.

Hey Bevyboo628,
Does the noodle head curling cream eventually leave build up or flakes? Is it ever sticky?

I don't find it to be sticky. haven't experienced build up or flakes either. I only wear it for a 2-3 days though. so i don't know if thats why..You can only buy it at Sally's though.

I know i can't live without co-wash, but am still experimenting with the right conditioner. Oh, and my silk wrap and satin pillowcase.

@ Lita - wow! Your list had me cracking up!! Too funny!

Okay, I can't live without my shea butter (from nassab) and castor oil...for now! They both do the job wonderfully at keeping my hair moisturized, soft, and detangled. Castor oil is great for sealing also. My hair likes thicker oils and castor fits the bill perfectly. It also helps my hair grow in thicker, so that's an added bonus! I may revisit this section after I've spent some time w/henna and giovanni 50/50 shampoo (which I tried for the first time Sat and LOVED it!! Very moisturizing for a shampoo. I had to take a double look to make sure I didn't accidently squirt conditioner in my hand [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] !!).

I have been meaning to get some more Jamaican Black Castor oil, it does help with thickness and growth. it is a part of a really MEAN powerful hair growth oil I make. (Yeah I overa did it, but it worked.)
