Uses for Aloe Vera Gel

does anyone else use aloe vera gel for multiple things?

I originally bought some for my hair, but i use it as a face moisturizer mixed with jojoba oil & i basically have NO bumps on my face now. I also use it on my underarms and legs after shaving, and i have NO razor bumps and irritation now. i also use it in my shea butter whip, and on scars to make them disappear faster.

I don't know what it is about aloe vera that makes it so amazing but I'm glad I finally bought some.

My mom is gonna start drinking it now too since she has been having stomach problems.

thanks. . im gonna tell my mom that. shes been having problems with acid reflux for a while now. hopefully it helps

Does aloe vera gel revert your hair when you straighten it? I looked up the ingredients and it doesn’t have any water in it. Does anyone know of a gel or something like it that won’t revert your hair?

I love aloe vera gel/juice! Its great for shaving and my hair I gargled with the juice for a sore throat and it definitely soothed it better than the basic salt/water mix.

But I've never used it as a moisturizer though..i'm going to try that tonight.

But does anyone know where to buy the plant? I need it for this scar I have.

naturalsincebirth, you can usually find the plant at walmart in the garden section.

i use fruit of the earth aloe vera gel. i buy it from walmart for about 4.50 ish. but my bottle lasted my a loooong time, like 6 months, and i use mine on my hair and face

I recently made a hair spritz with the aloe vera gel, water, jojoba oil and Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, that has vegetable glycerin in it. Its REALLY moisturizing and it enhances my coils and (because of the gel) gives a slight hold. After I spray it on my twists I add some more jojoba oil and then I don't have to re-moisturize for about a week.

I just bought some from Whole Foods yesterday....Im going to experiment with it this weekend and see how my wash n go turns out!

Sounds great! I'll try it. I bought Aloe vera gel for my kimmaytube leave-in and once I mixed it up. I forgot that I had the bottle in the fridge. I have to pull it out and try it as a moistturizer.

Jazmine B - do you keep your aloe moisturizer in the fridge after you mix with jojoba oil?

aloe vera gel is one of my favorite gels. i prefer it over eco styler. i usually use it to slick down my edges and i add it to the end of my twist when they decided to lose their curl

I also used it over the summer when my nose and arms got sunburned.

BeautifullyMehh, I have Jojoba oil in a little spray bottle and my aloe vera gel in a separate bottle and I just put a little of each in my hand, rub them together and put it on my face. You only need a very small amount, like less than a tsp. I buy it at a store by my house called Henry's Farmer's Market but they only have locations in southern cali. you can buy it online here:

curlya- i dont mix them in a bottle, i just mix them together in my hand right before i put it on my face/underarms/legs/shoulders.

My sis jus called me today & informed me that she bought some aloe vera gel or juice from Sams in Charlotte NC a gallon for $1.50 Im not sure which Sams because I know that theres alot of them there but plse ladies check it out It could b in a Sams near u Jus wanted to pass the info along Happy Holidays

I use it with my shea butter to make shealoe. It has shea butter, aloe vera gel and coconut oil. I sometimes twist my hair with it but I use it everyday as a face moisturizer. I have acne prone skin. I switched my routine. Now, I wash once a day with black soap and apply my shealoe morning & night.

My acne has cleared up and spots are fading..................

I'm so glad naturalnolagirl suggested that I search for aloe vera gel in the forum! Thanks for all the information, ladies. I also have a bit of acne at a certain time of the month or if I'm stressing so I'm going to try mixing my avg with vitamin E oil to moisturize my face. I hope I have as much success as some of you!
