My Puff Wont Stay!!!! UGH

Ladies please help!!!....
When trying to rock a puff my band just slides right off my hair…IT WONT STAY!!!!....I smooth down the front and sides of my hair with my gel put the band on and tighten it however it last for about 5 minutes if im lucky. It will slowly start sliding back, back, back until it’s OFF….I’m sooooooo frustrated

Have u tried tying your hair back with scarves, or fabric headbands?? if the elastic bands wont work, also I have seen a post about people using pantyhose to secure thier puffs, you can also try that. HTH

maybe use bobby pins to secure the band?

You will have to stretch the headband out first. I can't use a new headband because it will slide right off. So try that with adding some oil on it.

I have the same problem. i swear its because I have a crazy shaped head underneath all these curls lol. I've tried the goody strchy head bands I end up with all kinds of lumps and when I use the pantyhose Ugh I just look wicked. I've just come to grips that the puff just isn't for me. its sucks cause all the easy styles like the puff n wash ngo I cant do

I agree..I guess i just have to wait till i get long enough to have a good length pony....

I was having the same problem when I stumbled upon Pretty Dimples' Big O Puff video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtVtKMZhfWQ) and that helped me. Now, I use a pantyhose leg to do my puff, then I put a fabric band over it to cover it up, although, my hair usually covers most of it.

Idk if this helps, but my co-worker simply doubles her band twice on her head and slides it back until it stops. She's been wearing it like that all week, so I guess in some way, the Goody bands are just oversized or something.
