I would like a Natural Hair Sista!
Im not sure if a big sister is the correct term to entitle what I am looking for but maybe just a real good Natural Hair sister that I can fall back on when times get rough or anyone that enjoys hair as much as I Love speaking about hair. Alot of times in this journey I get discouraged.
I have been natural for two months, and have yet to see a lot of people i hold dear to me because i am scared to hear what that i have to think...
anyway long story short i'd like to uplift other naturals as i would like to be uplifted... just a genuine Natural hair Sis/Twin will do lol [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I will do what I can. My hair type is 4a/b, fine texture and I have been transitioning since 9/09.
What products are you using? What are your specific problems?
This is a very positive forum, so I am sure the other ladies will join me in encouraging you in your hair journey.

Well i believe if i were to type my hair it would be mostly 4b but it is spread out randomly with 4a.... um i use ALOT of different products partially because i am am a PJ. but as of now i use Hello hydration conditioner, cantu shea butter conditioner, organics shae tea tree hair mayonnaise conditioner, glycerin, EVOO, alovera, grapeseed oil, and 100 percent shae butter.... i like to experiment to find out what my hair likes...

Be sure to balance protein and moisture in your products. Here is a link to a good article and there is a hair test at the end.

Re: I would like a Natural Hair Sista!
ok so what do you feel about organics cholesterol tea tree oil....??? I use this once a week as a DC
Re: I would like a Natural Hair Sista!
I only know what I read about it online (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1893432/africas_best_organics_cholesterol_tea.html?cat=69); it does not have the best ingredients. How does it work for you?
I use Giovanni Products that can be bought at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, CVS, Pharmaca, and health food stores. Once a week, I use Giovanni Smooth As Silk (SAS) Deeper Moisture Shampoo to poo, SAS Deeper Moisture Conditioner and Reconstructor to DC, SAS Xtreme Protein Infusion or Direct Leave In as my leave in, I set my hair with Giovanni Natural Mousse Hair Styling Foam. I seal with Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie or EVCO or castor oil. I use the braid outs, curl outs or Curlformers to style.

hmmm sounds like a promising routine... I have read the ingredients on the back of my DC and i dont think anything is too harmful in the ingredients... il check out your Deep conditioner though and see if it works well in my hair after my other one finishes
