My journey started after my 2nd child was born. I continued to relax and color my hair throughout the pregnancy. Bad Idea. My hair was past shoulder length at the time and I loved the color. I had a stylist that was aggressive with touching up my roots, both with the color and the relaxer. and yes, he did both services on the same visit most of the time. Before I knew it, I had a sink and a brush full of honey brown hair.....To Be Continued....

So after the baby girl was born, the post partum shedding began... and never really stopped. Despite all the treatments and deep conditioning in the world, my hair was damaged beyond repair. On top of that, the stylist refused to take responsibility for the damage. He said it must be "something I was doing at home". The only thing I did at home was shampoo, condition and try to save it. He was the only one weilding the chemicals...Needless to say, he was fired!!!
I knew something had to be done, so I stopped relaxing my hair in March of 2008.

Yea!!!!! My Jamila henna arrived today from Butters and Bars! I will be doing my henna after thanksgiving so stay tuned!

im glad to hear you went naturak after that bad experience i would of went off after seeing my hair in the sink. but i can relate on the shedding my son is 3mths and i didnt knw what was going on with my hair but i do now she i condition like crazy. you stated u did ur henna treatment how did that go. ive been seeing on here about it but havent done it. what does it do
