Yes Lynnie I was using Naptural85's technique. For some reason I think my hair is to thick for her method. I swear even with small sections my twists are so thick... hmph. Anywho here's a couple of pics from the twistout:





I immediately washed and retwisted my hair after taking those pictures. But just normal small twists:





Less than a month til a length check. w00t! i'm getting anxious hehehe.

hello ladies! i've been wicked busy with work and the holidays! i can't even remember what i've been up to hair wise haha. luckily i have my fotki to remind me.. so after the bow updo i did twists for like a week and a half or something. then i did this which I stole from Ambrosia (aka xGOLDn) on YouTube:





Then I did my length check. Here's the front and back stretched:





And I straightened my hair for the first time since being natural. Here are the results:









So that's what I've been up to. I won't be straightening my hair again for a while. I'll probably keep it like this til Sunday and then back into twists lololol. Fun while it lasts! Hope everyone's doing great and excited for Christmas (my FAVORITE holiday)!!

Did you use a flat iron to straighten? Or a pressing comb?

I used a flat iron. I'm scared to use a pressing comb. The flat iron I picked how hot I wanted it lololol. I was sooo petrified to have heat damage. In fact I won't feel completely comfortable til I wash and it's back to normal hahaha.

I'm done with straight hair for like a year seriously hahaha. I missed my twists and fro lololol. So I washed last night and was holding my breath until i rinsed out my conditioner hahaha. even while scrubbing it felt like it wasn't reverting and i was gonna cry hahaha. but Harriet is just fine! i took a quick pic before bed:

bah!! it feels like forever since i've been here. i can't believe over a month without updating. aaah! anywhoo here are a couple of pictures from the past month... nothing new. still doing twists most of the time with a couple of twistouts and puffs in between.

oh i forgot to mention i've lost 25 lbs! lol. that's what i've really been focusing on so sorry for neglecting my journal hehe...
