Why does the media allow us to look like this?

Take a look at this video. I am so annoyed at how they are acting. Could the news reporter have told them to do their hair or something before they start filming? I think they do this on purpose to protray us as being ignorant black people. Lawd have mercy. What happened to editing?

They could have coached them or something after they replayed what they recorded. I think that they really could have tried to help those people not look so ridiculous.

I saw a follow up piece on the brother today and I must admit that he didn't sound anywhere near as countryfied or ignorant as he did in the first piece. I think when emotions take over (someone did try to rape his sister) his accent kicked into high gear.

You hit the nail on the head. But, I still think its up to each person to determine how he or she would like to be represented. Anyway, there is now a follow-up video and after watching it I had to write a blog entry about it.
