Re: Your Henna Formula
The first time, I used 100 grams of Henna for African Hair.
I mixed lemon juice and water together and tasted it for acidity. When I felt it was right, it tasted like sugarless lemonade, heh. In total it was about 1 1/2 cups. I mashed that together on Saturday morning and did the application on Saturday night. I rinsed Sunday morning.
Fabulous! The first day, my hair was RED. I kinda wish it had stayed like that, but we all know Henna darkens after the first couple of days.

@Mimi - acidic ingredients (orange juice, lemon juice) prevent the henna from turning your hair bright orange/red...I think, I'm having information overload like those KJB commercials...LOL...I've been doing a lot of research on henna. You can find more info on www.hennaforhair.com

Re: Your Henna Formula
Thanks so much! I always feared that henna was like dying one's hair. I had no idea of the facts behind the benefits! Thanks ladies!
