I tried a twist n curl for the second time using KK knot today as a detangler, Beemine curly butter and put the lucious moisturizer under it. Last time I think I used too much product which made my hair hard, so this time I took it light. Still hard!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Have any of these products made your hair hard? Do I need to try a different kind of products to do the twist n curl?

hello,

you could try switching the order and put moisturizer then butter, the butter should be used to seal the moisturizer onto you strands...try that and see how it works....if not i have had great success with curly Nikki setting lotion

I think naturalchic is right. You have to use the mositurizer then the butter!!! That should fix it!!

the curly nikki setting lotion is a mix that curlynikki created, ill see if i can find the recipe.... its basically water, setting lotion, cond and oil...ill post the ingredients soon, I like that it provides good hold without gel and no crunch!

ok here are ingredients:

9oz conditioner
3oz setting lotion
1oz glycerin(optional)
1-2oz either( almond/ coconut/olive oil)...i used 2oz evco

put all ingredients together and shake to blend then add distilled water until its the consistency you like. you will need a large spray bottle to hold ingredients. I add more water cause i like mine kinda watery...
