Hi Everyone,
My username is MeekMonique and this will be my first entry for the Butters-n-Bars Challenge/Contest. I'm hoping to win some henna because I have always wanted to try it out and I already have loads of shea butter, but wouldn't mind adding more because I'm kind of addicted to it. I've used it on my hair a handful of times, but I mostly use it for my body!!! Loves it!!!

Today I still have my two strand twists in. It's the first time in a long time that I've just done two strand twists all over my head. I meant for them to be medium-big size, but they came out small-medium sized. It took forever. I'm wearing them pinned up with a comb clip, but the part that I did from ear to ear is very obvious, so I'm wearing a hair scarf right on that line of demarcation Smile

So today, Old man winter decided that he was coming to Houston. It was cooooooolllllllllldddd and windy!!! I still have my hair in two strand twists, but I added some QB BRBC to my hairline because I think the lining of my satin bonnet is drying it out. I think it is cotton/spandex, while the rest of the satin bonnet is...satin . I was planning on wearing a twist out for a couple of days at the end of this week, but now that's it cold and windy, I might just wear twists throughout the winter. Not sure yet.

^^Co-signing--pics please

How do you like the QB BRBC? If you have not done so, post a product review. I want to try a heavy creamy moisturizer for the cooler and cold months ahead.

@SheeTacular_Napps cool!
@AfrikanLatina ok, I was too lazy to re-read how to upload a pic to my profile, but I will do that sometime today as well as some pics of my current twists.

@ChrsLvsBks I really like the QB BRBC and the OHHB. It is very moisturizing....and I'm always disappointed by hair products, but QB has not disappointed me. It will definitely keep your hair moisturized for winter. I also tried their AOHC ,but it was a while back and I don't quite remember my experience with it.

I recently decided to try Oyin's Shine and Define and I just got it in the mail yesterday so I can't wait to use it. I'll probably wash on Friday or Monday (busy weekend)

so I still haven't attached any pictures. lol, I'm forgetful, but at least I finally uploaded a profile pic.

I still have my two strand twists in, this Houston weather is flip-flopping as usual. I swear it was FREEZING on Tuesday and now it's warm out, yesterday it was hot as hell and sunny as hell too.

While I was watching a movie and my hands got bored I ended up french braiding my two strand twists! It's really cute, I have 2 frenchbraids, one on each side. I took pictures, I will post them tonight when I get off of work because I think it's adorable. I look like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz or something lol.

Also, the ends of my twists were kind of straight because my hair was drying out while I was twisting, so after I french braided my twists, i took some shea butter and twirled it around the end of my french braids.....and to my surprise....they curled!

Today I took my twists out and my hair is dry dry dry. Karen's body beautiful's hair milk by itself is not moisturizing enough for my hair. I will be washing my hair today..I have been cowashing for the past 3 weeks, but now it is time for some shampoo...my scalp is dirty.

Yeah I like it on my skin as well. The first time I got some, I ordered from Nasabb.com and I love their shea butter....I massage it into my skin, but now that I've been using coconut oil on my skin, i just use shea butter for my elbows. Sheabutterhut.com also has nice shea butter.
Thanx for the compliment Smile

Your braided twists are so thick--beautiful!

How much of the hair milk are you using? Sorry it alone was not moisturizing enough.

thanx for the compliment

I use a good amount of it and I apply it to each twist as I am twisting it so it goes down the length of my hair. So, enough to saturate all of my hair basically

I bought this HUGE flower headband from Forever 21 this summer and have NEVER worn it because it's too huge, but I'm taking a hint from curly nikki and wearing it as a ponytail holder and it looks SO SO SO much better!!!

YAY! Today is Tuesday and I finally get to wash my hair tonight!!!
I'm having an extremely bad/sloppy hair day. I've been so busy with school.
I plan on shampooing, conditioning, maybe deep conditioning if im not too tired. Then I will do some cornrows and two strand twists with my Oyin!!! I hope I like it.

@crustaceans THANX!!!

Last night I finally got to shampoo my hair. It had been 11 days since the last time I washed and I really cannot go past 7 days without washing it. It was my first time using shampoo in 4 weeks. It was a weird transition back to it. I deep conditioned with LeKair Cholesterol before I shampooed with Suave Clarifying Shampoo. The cholesterol left my hair soft and supple, but I once I got to shampooing it felt really dry and some areas were really tangled. I conditioned with Suave Coconut and it was actually my first time using it.
I rinsed then steamed my hair for about 30 minutes.
I started out using my Oyin shine and define, but then I had to break out some other moisturizers to put under it. I used some of everything really.
One section of my hair is all oying, another section is coconut oil under oyin, another section is QB , and another section is shea butter, coconut oil, and gel mixture.

It was pretty late and I had to get up in the morning at 7, so I just tried to go as fast as I can. I did a few cornrows and two strand twisted the rest. Today I am wearing the front of my hair out, but the rest in a knit hat with my satin bonnet on it underneath for protection.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My hair is still twisted up. I will untwist next week. I know that the Oyin Shine and Define has added shine to my hair, but once I take the twists down I will see if it really has defined it. I think it will though because I could feel that it does have some hold. On parts of my hair I think I could use Oyin Shine and Define by itself, but because I have really dry hair, for the majority of it I'm probably going to have to put something moisturizing underneath it.
