Hair line
Hello everyone. I have a question. Do you shave/line your neck area? I have beady bees, and I'm very self-conscious of them. I was shaving my hair line, but my daughter said, "That's not natural. Just let it grow in." I don't mind when I wear a twist out because my hair hangs down a little so you can see it, but when I wear a puff, I'm very, very self-conscious. What's your take on this?

I just started letting them grow, so right now they aren't long enough. And, gel just doesn't work on that area. They just laugh at the gel! I think if I can get through a few weeks of letting it grow, it might not be so bad. It's just that right now, they are so tight and kinky!

Can you wet them, throw a little shea butter then some gel and wrap a scarf around them?! I am just throwing some ideas out there!

I have this same problem. I am thinking about shaving them.

I have the same problem. When I was younger my mom used to shave them and never gave them a chance to grow. Needless to say, once I started doing my own hair they grew out. They're still beady but usually, water, leave -in conditioner/ oil and a scarf help lay it down.

Thanks, I'll try that. I really want to stop shaving, and I know that once they get some length, I can just put some gel on them and brush them up with the rest of my hair. HOPEFULLY! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
