I'm goin to a wedding this weekend...what ever shall i do to my hair??
I'm thinking of doing either a full rod set, twist and curl or some kind of updo...hmmm

oopsie sorry guys lol I was a lil out of it for a while but I will post what was done to achieve the rod set(I went to the salon cuz i was lazy) lol

I've had my hair in a bun for the past few days so I decided to give it a break today. I used an applicator bottle to apply castor oil diluted with a little almond oil to my scalp. I'm too lazy to part and use my fingers to apply the thick oil so this works much better for me. The almond oil loosens up the castor oil a bit and makes it easier to apply. Then I sectioned and moisturized each part paying close attention to the middle of my head (the driest part) and then did a little half up half down scene...will post pix after work.

I really could have done this myself but I was bein lazy and was still in pain from the dentist earlier. These pictures are from saturday, the day of the wedding, I had my hair done on thursday.

I mixed coconut and olive oil and left it on my hair for a few hours under a plastic cap. My hair was then washed and conditioned. I sprayed got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protect N' Blow out lotion and Gloss finish on my hair before it was rolled. The stylist then added some tressemme mousse and a bit of setting lotion to my hair. My hair usually does not agree with mousse but it didnt turn out so bad. She then rolled my hair on mid./med. sized rods and I sat under the dryer forever lol.

After i was dry she put some ic hair polisher on her hands (in the manner you put on lotion lol) and started to sep. the curls. she sprayed a little holding spray on the curls, then she blew out the very front a bit at my request and I was on my way.

I slept with a bonnet and in the morning put a little oil or polish (whichever was in my reach) and fluffed the curls. The day of the wedding I applied a little avocado butter to the dry areas and played around with pins until i came up with this style. I did have some cute sparkly ornamented pins which i could not find the day of the wedding but overall i still liked the style. I think I may invest in some curlformers

wow i've been neglecting the forum for a minute...but with good reason...lol i've been busy grinding advancing myself and i'm beginning to see the fruits of my labor....during this grind time i've worn a bunch of plain ol buns, wash and gos, and i tried mini twist on dry hair...currently i have my hair blown out....

the mini twists...i prolly wont do again...i was taking still locating twists in my hair days after I took them out and deep conditioned...good thing i like to play in my hair...

my hair has grown a bunch since the last time I straightened it and still appears to be pretty healthy...The lady who shampooed my hair at the dominican salon did make sure to tell me that she loved my curls and that I should remember to deep condition weekly guess she knew i wasnt taking as much care as i should have been lol
