Newbie Here
Hello Ladies,
I'm a brand new member and I'm transitioning. It's been 12 months since
my last relaxer, because I had Kinky Twists. When I took them out a
month ago I realized I had a lot of damaged hair and was trying to decide
what to do with it when my girlfriend said "Why not go natural? You're
almost natural anyway." [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I have to admit, although I know quite a few women who are natural, I never really considered going natural, but that's probably because I never really have given much thought to my hair over the last ten or so years. But now I'm getting older and it's thinning and I realize if I want to have some hair I'd better take care of it. So here I am. I'm officially a week into my
journey to natural hair. Most of what's in the front through the center of the my head is all new growth. The permed hair broke off last year. The back, which is much longer, is a mix of new growth and relaxed hair, I think. I'm going to see a natural hair stylist next week so she can tell me what it's new growth and what is my hair. I'm kind of naturally curly anyway and I honestly can't tell the difference. I'd like to know where the Big Chop would leave me at this point.
I'm loving the boards and all the YouTube videos. It's been so helpful. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Blessings,
Rhonda
