TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
Hey TWA Diva's,
I am newbie natralista and loving every minute of it. With the help of my girls Keish and Tre along with some major research on Natural Hair Care, I decided to take care of my hair and do it right. I chickened out of transitioning, just couldn't be bothered to be honest with you, tooo much maintenance. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . So 3 months into transitioning I decided to BC, April 1, 2010 to be exact. Fell in love with my hair all over again, this time the love was real [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . I put a lot of people in to shell shock because tey could no longer be entertained by my long flowing permed tresses. Not aplogizing, cause A Diva's gotta to do what a Diva's gotta do.
PLEASE correct me if I am wrong, but I have not seen any Topics about TWA's at relates to "STRICTLY TWA's. I intend on rockin this TWA for a long time, it's just to darn SEXY. Not hatin on any of our long locks Diva's, but us TWA's gotta have some space to hang out too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
So if there are any TWA Diva's out there, whether you just BC'd or this is your everyday profile, Hang out here, share, educate, vent, product swipe, accessorize, whatever's on your mind. Tell how you enhance your SEXY TWA..

Re: TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
I am really loving my TWA as well. I wasn't too confident with it in the beginning, but it has grown on me. I was thinking about keeping it for a while...or at least for the summer.
Re: TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
Hey Latoya28,
Glad to see another SEXY TWA Diva, HOLLA! That's what I'm talking about. I LOVE LOVE my TWA, as a matter of fact I am getting it cut again this Saturday. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] My hair grows pretty fast, once I see that new growth coming in, its time for a shape up (cut), but that's ok.
I keep the sides and the back faded. It is low maintenance and that is the best part. Not to mention it shows off all of our beautiful facial features, they become more enhanced. Right now I am doing a hot oil treatment. I wash my hair every other day and deep condition once a week. I plan on keeping my TWA for a long time. Love your earrings the way. Just Gorgeous [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I technically still have a TWA with my insane shrinkage and I am about 23 months post relaxer. So I guess this applies to me [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] !

@ A-Felice, I checked, I Like, Nice Curls......
@ Aight Summerbrown, SEXY all the way girl, Deep conditioning is so key, I am in the middle of testing a few different products to see what works for me, but generally I use my own, trying not to become a product junkie. I use Karens Body Beautiful's Pear Shampoo and Deep Conditioner. I like to leave a little deep conditioner in and then believe it or not I love Ampro Styling gel, No flaking, No grease, No Alchy, then seal it with some Iindian Hemp oil. It's what works for me. I also use Giovanni Silky Smooth Organic Shampoo and Conditioner.
As I said, I also make my own shampoo and condtioner adding some jojoba oil, olive oil, virgin coconut oil, sunflower oil and vitamin E. I also moistened through the day, in a small spray bottle I mix distilled water with virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil and olive oil and a 2 drops of vitamin E. This will be vital for the Hot Summer Days.
I will post product updates from time to time as well. I beginning to expreience that the more you nourish your hair, the more your hair will love you back.
Welcome SnappyNappy, would love to see a pic-REPRESENT DIVA!

Oh Yeah,
How could I forget, SHEA BUTTER, LOVE THE STUFF. I generally make and mix my own as well. It's easy to do, so if anyone wants to give it a try, I will galdy share how to make you own, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] if not there are alot of Natural Diva's that have there own product line as well. Supporting each other is so important, so I encourage it. Especially for Black Women in Business, let's support each other. HOLLA!

Re: TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
Hello fabulous ladies [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I'm also a newbie naturlista who's starting to fall in love more & more with my new look. With the support of my BFF who actually celebrated her 7mth natural yesterday, I decided to end my transitioning process & finally do my BC (May 6th 2010). I will admitt my nerves were getting the best of me that day but honey let me tell you I can't stay out of a mirror. I'm truly loving every moment!! I'm definitely keeping my TWA for the summer. Currently I'm doing co-washes in the morning, I use a mix of almond oil (smells wonderfulllll), castor oil & coconut oil, I loveeeeeee Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner (Orchid & Coconut Milk) & I've been baggy every night to help maintain moisture. I'm looking forward to having healthy hair and happy for sites like this providing us lovely divas with the guidance & support needed while traveling this road.

Re: TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
Hello Ladies,
I need your help! I had my BC Sat. I love all of your TWA's but right now I do not know what to do with mine. My hair is extremely thick and dense, with small to med coils, I have about 3 to 3 1/2 inches stretched and 2 when wet. I have these products.
Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner
Oyin Juices and Berries
Oyin Shine & Define and Whipped Pudding.
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner
Kinky Curly Knot Today
Kinky Curly Curling Custard
Almond Oil
I did a deep condition last night with AOHR and Almond Oil, hair soft this moning. I rinsed this am, sprayed on Juices & Berries, added some whipped pudding, Knot today, almond oil and curling custard.
My hair looked moist and coily but after 15min my hair felt gooey and I had white gooey balls in my hair. I had to wear a wig to work(I hate wearing a wig) Please Help.

Re: TWA Diva's-HOLLA!
I think it was the KC products that made the white balls. You have to be very careful when using them because they don't work well with too many other products. I would only use them together and maybe with some oil, but that's it. You could also use a little of the HH as a leave-in then add the JnB and WP.
