Graduation Hair? That darn cap!
So...graduation is approaching and when I tried on my hood/gown/cap ( I like the sound of that I realized Phoenix ain't gon fit under that cap! For my pictures, I plan to pin her up but I'm looking for suggestions for the day of the ceremony. How have you guys styled your hair to fit under the cap? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in seeing responses to this! I'm going to my graduation in May (finished my degree in June, but couldn't walk because it was after the commencement ceremony) and I don't know what to do with my hair either!

I thought about it but the place where we have to wait is like a sauna! A rollerset would probably last all of 3 minutes, lol.

Amazing- I was just thinking about what I could to do with my hair in May! I was thinking about a TNC and pin the top up somehow, but I'm never really satisfied with how my twist outs come out. Anymore suggestions would be fantastic!

Erica what do you use for rollersets? I have found using a little gel makes the flexirod/curlformer/other curlers last longer.
What about some twists? Maybe the side cornrowed or something like that? Curled braids? Twist out?
A strawller set lasted my daughter an entire school week. That's a lot of playing...and lots of sweat! lol I used the small strawllers. www.strawllers.com So maybe something like that?

I was wondering this also. Braids were my fallback in the past but I want to show off my hair. I'm not sure what style would look nice with the cap on and stay looking nice after taking the cap off
Re: Graduation Hair? That darn cap!
I had never heard of these... I will have to check them out. I have the curlformers and I need to take them back. I haven't even opened them yet!NikG20 wrote:Congrats ladies! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I haven't used flexirods or curlformers, I used regular rollers and some rollerset mousse.

Hmmm, I've been thinking and I may do a bun with a curly phony pony
Re: Graduation Hair? That darn cap!
I have the same problem...except I have a TWA....and my hair doesn't stay straight when I flat iron it..

I may do twists for the ceremony and then just rock a twistout for the partying afterwards.

I like this idea. Caps and gowns dont do anybody justice.
I graduate in December so I need the ideas too. Keep them coming.
