Hair and working out Empty Hair and working out

Post by Yellagirlcurls 25th March 2010, 1:19 am

Do you do anything special to your hair before a workout? How do you maintain after a workout? I sweat a lot and hate to keep sweat in my hair but also hate to wash every day. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I usually pull my hair into a puff or a loose ponytail, because I know leaving it down would have the sweat running thru it and make it extra super puffy..

I plan to start working out again as well. Long overdue actully [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]. I was wondering about the very same thing. I have a TWA and sweat something bad when I exercise and don't want to leave the sweat sitting in my hair. I think it can be very damaging right?

Is it safe to co-wash daily? I don't want to dry my hair out and don't feel like being bothered with braids.

TIA!

Its safe to cowash daily just be careful of what kind of conditioner u use and make sure that you get some good moisture on your hair and scalp after you cowash. I know v05 clarifying conditioners are excellent for cowashes and inexpensive, so are herbal essences hello hydration, hope that helps Smile

I just usually do a high pony tail and leave it at that. Other times I'll wear it in a bun. My hair dries fast so even if I co-wash at 10:30 at night (I have a late class) it's usually 75% dry by midnight, and completely dry by the time I wake up.

I twist mine up before the gym often, then I rinse my scalp after. gotta get that sweat off your scalp!! when i had a twa, I co-washed often, almost every day. It was summer and actually very refreshing!
