Your chosen this morning is one of my favorite! You MUST trust, believe, and HAVE FAITH....ALWAYS. Something I know I don't always do like I should. It is applicable to all aspects of our lives including our hair because we are fearfully and wonderfully made in HIS image and must love who we are and our hair as it is in all it's lovely kinkyness/waviness/curliness.

Hey, IB...loving the hair and the recent posts. Not that I don't love all of your posts ( ), but the last couple have been very reflective of the time spent here and how much you have learned. I know that this particular thread will be over soon, but I have learned so much from you about listening to our hair. Thank you so much and I can't wait to continue! ((HUGS))

IB ... your words ring so true for me. so true. this community is rare and special. the beautiful spirits that comprise it, especially in this challenge ... it's one thing to do research and learn about products, etc. online at blogs and other forums. it's something completely different to have a community of support during the process. i can pretty much say for sure that without this community, heat would have found its way back to my life, and most certainly, my hair would never be twisted up outside my front door, lol.

Oh IB, that was a great post. For some reason I haven't been getting your updates, hopefully this comment will correct that. Number 4 really makes you think. Thank you for all of your help and inspiration that you share at the beginning, middle, and end of all your post. It is greatly appreciated and all of you ladies have helped me in some way and are part of the reason that I had the confidence to do my bc and continue to be natural and appreciate what God has given me.

I'm all emotional over here!!! I thank God for this thread!!! I have arrived at another level just by posting and replying in everyone's thread. I will say that I hope we all keep the daily commitment to this thread next week, because this has gotten me through the last 2 months as well as helped me embrace this natural journey!

I'm no longer wishing for someone else's curls or length; I can truly say that I'm wishing for a healthy head of hair regardless of my curl type or length!!

Thank you for your daily words of encouragement; which on some day went hand in hand with Sweet positive quotes.

Like you I too want to send out a real big hug to the ladies on this sight...

I agree with you totally Jc. LOL @ going outside with the twisted hair. I agree with that too...

HELLO DOLLS:

I appreciatE everyone's comments and reflections yesterday to my post. It really touched my heart. WE NEED A NATIONAL CN METTING, FOR REAL!!!!

In hair news, I am very excited this day because I get to play with my hair again. YAYYY!!!
I am in the twist challenge, so that means being twisted for 5 days and out for 2. My work schedule rotates so my days will rotate for the challenge as well.

I unraveled today with evco and my aloe/horsetail/condish mix in my hands.

Thank you. I got the headband/scarf (that is what it is ) at Walgreens. They had a 99 cent special. So I raked up

Work it IB...Work it!!! You and Destiny are HOT!!! When I do my henna I'm going to try and do flat twists. Hope they come out as good as yours. I like the fact that you hung in there, and now you have those two strands flat twists down to a science!!!

dont u love havin 4 days OFF!!! i honestly could care less if i go back to a 9 to 5, mon-fri, sittin in traffic type job! its like a mini vacay every week. u can take a 4 day cruise and not use leave but i still take a day or 2 to recoupe! Aaaaaah **kickin feet up**

HEY MC, welcome back!!

Ok so today was a busy day. Cycling at 5am, shower, eat, dressed (myself and the kids) and off to NY for mom's birthday. It was great.
Back now (panting...... )

I loved my hair today. I consider this a fro but probably not a fully stretched one. I went in the sauna today then came home and took a hot steam bath. Sprayed my hair with aloe/ horsetail mix and rubbed evco and QB hydrating balm in my hands then applied to my hair. I finger combed it thru (i don't own a pick ----how embrassing ---I have to get one ). Then I pulled the ends outwards and pinned the side. My hair was soft and fluffy. I LOVE MY FRO!!!

I WILL PREPOO AND GET READY FOR MY 2 STRAND TWIST TOMORROW AFTERNOON.
Got to go outside and help DH with the landscape.
