Wow ElleX, how impressive!
I never signed up officially but I'd like to start reading more regularly, in addition to my book club books. Right now I'm reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison.

Re: 2010 Book Project
Well, here's what I read in the month of June. (I decided to skip the running total and just give a final total update of all the books read at the end of the year.)
25. Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes
26. Foxy: My Life in Three Acts by Pam Grier

28. I can't accept not trying by Michael Jordan
29. Chaka: Through the Fire by Chaka Khan
30. Wrecked by Carol Higgins Clark
31. Trump Never Give up (audiobook) by Donald Trump
Is there anyone else doing this challenge (or a slightly varied version like me)? If so, give an update.

Re: 2010 Book Project
I guess it's time to check in...since I started the challenge in March, my original goal was 84 books, which is 10 books a month. I'll be very happy if I can make it to 30 books by the time the big ball drops at the end of the year. I've got a lot of travel coming up in the next few months, which gives me plenty of time to enjoy my Nook. Anyway, I've read 11 books so far:
1. Flexitarian Diet
2. Killing Che
3. Eat, Pray Love - LOVE THIS BOOK!
4. Going Rouge
5. Tempted by Trouble
6. Getting to Happy
7. In My Father's House
8. Getting Unstuck
9. The 4 Day Diet
10. Mama Dearest
11. The Conversation
On tap for the remainder of September and all of October:
12. The Girl who Played with Fire
13. The Help
14. Shanghai Girls
15. Mini Shopaholic
16. Shit My Dad Says
17. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Let me know if you've read any of these books and your thoughts!

Re: 2010 Book Project
I liked The Help, but I think that a better choice about race relations is Mudbound. I think the author is Hillary ..I can't remember her last name, but it is a great novel.
The Stieg Larsson trilogy starting with girl/fire are a really enjoyable group that go together.
I enjoyed Shanghai Girls, I learned so much about Chinese culture and "paper sons"
I'm reading mini shopaholic right now. All of those shopaholic books are 1-2 day reads that are quick and fun. Nothing thought provoking, but needed after heavy books like The Help or Mudbound. Happy Reading
Will get my list together soon.

Re: 2010 Book Project
Great job! 100 books was my goal last year and I got to 99. So I'm going for 100 this year. I'm pretty sure I can do it, I got sick at the end of November and didn't read anything for the rest of the year so that's why I hit 99.
