Since I'm planning to leave Europe in September, I've decided to finally take those scuba diving classes I've always wanted to take. So I'm planning on heading to the Canary Islands or Egypt in March and need ideas on what to do with my hair. It's guaranteed to be 1 day in the pool and 3 days in ocean waters. I'm thinking cornrows or flat twists, but wonder if they'll just fall apart with all the water time if I don't use extensions. Will definitely need to con wash daily and DT there.

Would appreciate your ideas, thoughts or personal experiences. Thanks.

Last August we spent a week in Jamaica and my hair was my biggest dilemma before the trip. I ended up doing individual plaits all over and it worked out great. They didn't some apart and it was easy to co-wash daily and they dried quickly.

@tiashauntee--Beautiful braids. Not sure mine is long enough for that look, but great idea. Thanks.

Wash and gos are what I do when I travel to warmer climates. Before going to the beach (pool), I soak my hair with water then apply conditioner. When I get out, I rinse my hair and put in some conditioner. You can apply shea butter and/or aloe vera gel to protect your hair from the sun's rays.

I would pull my hair back or up or leave it out. If I leave it out, I apply gel for hold. If interested I have a few pictures I could send you or if you have FB, I have pictures there. Here is a link to my
