Looking for Hair Twins
Like many, I've given up on the hair typing. The more I research it, the more confused I become. Right now I think my best option is to find people with a similar hair type and try some of the things they use until I can eventually learn what works best with my hair. I have a great mentor now @TravelJunkie, but I'm always looking for more people to assist me in this sometimes stressful journey.
Here's my hair wet:

And here's it dry:

If your hair looks anything like this, your help is definitely needed. My main issues now are dryness and shrinkage (me and everyone else on here huh? lol)]

Juices- hey I just wanted to comment...Even if a person is your hair twin. You guys may still not be able to use the same products. I found this out the hard way. I thought that I had found a hair twin, only to find out that my twin was not protein sensitive, I AM!

That's a very good point. I'll have to keep that in mind. Ultimately, I've just got to figure out what works with me... without being 1000s of dollars in debt. Lol

Re: Looking for Hair Twins
Just remember to start out small- Use each item for at least a week to see how your hair responds-
being protein sensitive, I couldn't wait a week, I found out quick. My hair (nyla, is her NAME) like shaft, she is a bad mother- shut your mouth
She was like
Like I told my lil sis- get the basics, a co wash, a clarifier, a detangler, a moisturizer and a sealant.
Ok let me stop- it s late and I am rambling!

What exactly does it mean to be protein sensitive? Does your hair just not respond well to it? Are you allergic to it?

Re: Looking for Hair Twins
Whenever I apply protein- avocados eggs bananas- it fries my hair out terribly> My hair feels like steel wool. It makes my hair extremely hard and brittle.

Also, try requesting samples or buying items in travel size. I came across a few of my loves doing my search that way.
